UGG Trademark disputes

In 1971, an Australian surfer, Shane Steadman, started marketing ugg boots
and registered the title Ugh-boots like a trademark in Australia. In 1979,
Brian Smith, a different Australian surfer,

Classic Mini Boots Black[/url][/b] brought many pairs of Australian-made
uggs towards US and started marketing them in New York also to surfers in
California. He arranged up Ugg Holdings Inc., obtained the Australian tag
from Steadman,

Classic Mini Boots Chestnut[/url][/b] as well as in 1985 registered a U.S.
trademark over a rams mind logo design while using terms "Original UGG Boot
UGG Australia". In 1995 he marketed his attention to Deckers. In 1996
Deckers registered a trademark for "UGG" from the US.
