Hi,
If you send a XML message with the sample client without specifying the encoding. The default JVM encoding (OS encoding) is taken acount.
Then if the XML message is manipulated anywhere in petals, the transformers used are configured to set the XML declaration, with the encoding.
It is important to specify explictly the encoding in a XML message (and encode the file accordingly [Shocked] ), otherwise you can have trouble with distributed environements (Petals domain) and different OS encodings.
