Hi,

Message and exchange properties are not specific to the JMS BC.
An exchange is a set of Petals messages (in the scope of a "conversation").
A request followed by a response is an example of exchange.

These properties allow to define some elements to an exchange or a Petals
message.
If they have a specific meaning for the JMS BC, then it should appear in its
documentation (from memories though, it needs to be refreshed, but the main
lines are valid).
