I think you followed the right method to define partnerlinktype and partnerlink for this partner.

However, in partnerlink type when you define a role, you only use interface (porttype).

When BPEL process invokes the service, it actually invokes the JBI Service importing the external Web Service and corresponding to this interface. This JBI service is built thanks to the Service Unit that "provides" the external Web Service, in which you can configure the 3-tuple Interface/Service/Endpoint.

To be sure BPEL will invoke the correct service (using correct binding) you have to define the adequate 3-tuple JBI (Interface/Service/Endpoint).
