[Users] What is the difference between petals-SE-EIP and petals-SE-BPEL?

Hi,

Both are used to build services by assembling other services.

BPEL is similar to a programming language, but written in XML.
In BPEL, you can have loops, conditions, fault handlers and so on. Its main
interest IMO is that it is standard (and lighter than what you would have to
write if you wanted to do the same thing in Java).

EIP is a set of patterns to make several services interact together.
They are generally used in chains, which means you have one EIP that invokes
another EIP, which itself... By combining the patterns, you can build your
service logic. They are about a dozen of patterns Petals supports, but there
are many more in fact.
